Telephones – How do I use the telephones for local or international calls?
Telephones are located in each guest room. A hotel phone directory will be provided and it contains important numbers (such as emergency, medical, transportation information, hotel services, etc.) as well as information on how to make local and international telephone calls.

Where is the Message Center/Message Board? Messages will be posted outside of the CEUME Conference Office. How can someone leave a message for me? You can leave a message at the CEUME Conference Office (with a CEUME staff member or with a student intern on duty) or post it on the Message Board outside of the office. The hotel staff, of course, will take telephone messages for guests.

Where can I access the internet? What hours will the Internet Café be open? How much does it cost? There is an internet café near the hotel at Kharkovskaya Street, 8-A; it is open 0-24. The cost is 4 UAH for 1 hour.

In addition, 2 computers with access to Internet will be available in the Conference Office for speakers and presenters from 8 a.m to 8 p.m – from 8:00 to 20:00. A student intern will be on duty. Please note you will need to sign in and limit your time during peak periods.

Where can I go to have something shipped or faxed? There is a post office near CEUME’s office and you can mail letters and ship packages from there. Mail address of CEUME office: Karl Marx Avenue, 19, National Mining University, Building #4, Office 52 (Business Center), 49027

I am a vegetarian. How can I get a special meal? The hotel and restaurants have choices to accommodate special diets.

Where is the CEUME Conference Office located? CEUME’s staff office is on the ground floor, National Mining University, Building #2. See on-site information for the specific room.

Where will the off-site events be held? Information about the welcome buffet and other events can be found in the Conference materials you will receive at registration. 

• The Welcome Buffet Dinner will be held on Thursday, 9 December, from 18:30 at the restaurant “Wolfgang,” Hotel “Dnipropetrovsk,” on the ground floor of the hotel.

Where are the buses? Do you have a transportation schedule? Transportation for off-site Conference activities will be provided. The transportation schedule will be in your Conference materials.

What about transportation to the train station or airport? Conference presenters are asked to confirm the dates of their travel, as well as their arrival and departure days, with Marina Antroptseva – Marina@ceume.org.ua -- at CEUME’s Kyiv office so their transportation needs can be arranged.

Will breakfast/lunch be served every day? Breakfast is available at your hotel and is included in your room fee (which you pay). If you are not staying at the hotel, you are responsible for paying for breakfast. Lunches are included in the conference registration.

Where are the breakout sessions? In Building 10 at the National Mining University. See Message Boards and signage.

Where are the exhibits? When is the exhibit hall open? Exhibits will be in the hall of Building #10 of the National Mining University. The Exhibit Hall is open on December 10, from 10:15 a.m. through 18:00 and during the coffee breaks and lunch period. See schedule.

Where is the National Mining University? Can I walk there? You will need to take the bus –bus/transportation information will be included in your Conference materials.

What is the dress code for Conference? The dress code is business.

Where can I exchange money? Money can be exchanged at the Exchange Office in the hotel lobby. There is also an ATM (“Aval” Bank) in the building next to the hotel.

Do I pay for parking/meals/hotel/? Yes. Participants pay for hotel accommodation, parking and breakfast themselves.
